ISO 9001-2000 Certification

Waco Composites is committed to continuous improvement in our business practices and product development. As the company grows we maintain a focus on improving efficiency and quality so that we may better serve our customers and keep up with the demands of new market trends. This commitment is currently being realized through our pursuit of ISO 9001-2000 Certification. The primary purpose of this certification is to further improve our quality control practices while providing our customers with the highest standard of quality assurance.

ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, maintains the standards which define the ISO 9001 quality management system. This system includes measurable and defined tasks for each employee, documented procedures throughout the company processes, defined product standards, consistent lines of communication beginning with the customer all the way through shipping of product, and clear objectives for improvement. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining these areas through record keeping, calibration and measuring, and recognizing and monitoring problematic areas. Auditing of the system verifies if it is functioning correctly and to the standards that have been defined. Audits also point out possible risks or areas for future improvements.

Waco Composites is excited about the challenge of becoming an ISO 9001-2000 registered company. This process will require improvement and internal development. It also assures our customers that we are willing to put forth the cost and energy into a long-term commitment of quality improvement for the ArmorCore® product line and our manufacturing processes. Waco Composites expects to be registered by an Accredited Certification Body sometime in 2008.
