These rounds travel at a minimum velocity of 1,175 feet per second and generate between 380 and 460 foot-pounds of muzzle energy. At a thickness of 1/4 inch and a weight of 2.8 pounds per square foot, this makes them light but tough, ensuring reliable defense against ballistic threats.
Our engineers have designed these panels utilizing multiple layers of woven roving ballistic-grade fiberglass fabric, impregnated with a thermoset polyester resin. This specific composite formulation enables the panels to exhibit controlled internal delamination, effectively capturing and containing projectiles upon impact. This design mitigates the risk of spalling and ricochet, common hazards in many ballistic-resistant materials, thereby enhancing safety and maintaining structural integrity under high-velocity ballistic threats.
