UL 752 Level 3

Bullet Resistant Barriers

Most commonly used for protection against handguns of super power.

ArmorCore Level 3 panels are designed for applications requiring UL 752 Level 3 ballistic protection against common and high-powered handgun threats in commercial and institutional environments. Their lightweight fiberglass construction makes them well suited for retrofits and new construction where minimal added weight and straightforward installation are important.

Common applications include schools, banks, offices, government buildings, healthcare facilities, transaction counters, and secure administrative areas. Panels can be installed behind finished surfaces or integrated into existing wall systems using standard construction methods.

Applications of Level 3 Bullet-Resistant Panels

Level 3 withstands up to three .44 magnum  rounds and is most commonly used as a protective barrier against the majority of handguns with muzzle energy of 971-1175 foot-pounds (1317-1593J). This level is typically used in high-risk areas such as banks and government buildings.

At ArmorCore, we take safety and security seriously, which is why our panels are made of fiberglass that meets the UL 752 standard for bullet-resistant equipment. The level 3 fiberglass panel is constructed with a lightweight, solid core that provides the necessary ballistic protection. It offers superior strength and durability. The panel is also easy to install with minimal disruption to existing building structures.

Its lightweight design is ideal for:

Offices
Banks
Schools
Other public spaces

Additionally, Level 3 is approved for use in correctional facilities, military bases, and high-risk environments.

UL 752 Level 3 Specifications

The UL 752 standard for bullet resisting equipment specifies the levels of protection for the bullet-resistant fiberglass. The specifications for Level 3 require a fiberglass that has a nominal thickness of 7/16” and a nominal weight of 4.9 pounds per square foot.

The fiberglass must also withstand a minimum impact velocity of 1350 feet per second and have a grain size of 240 (g). In addition, the Level 3 specifications require that the fiberglass
withstand three shots from a .44 Magnum within a 4.6-meter shooting range.
